Cartridge World Announces Expansion into Israel
April 13, 2007Filed Under: International, Franchise Expansion
Cartridge World, the world’s fastest growing ink cartridge refill franchise concept, has announced its expansion plans for Israel. The company has announced that it has awarded the Master franchise rights to Israel to Ronny Frydberg and Ofer Heilig.
Ronny Frydberg brings to Cartridge World over 25 years of business experience from Hewlett Packard Israel, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and was responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations with over $400 million in annual revenues and 800 employees. Ofer Heilig also brings significant technology and business experience from both Hewlett Packard and Compaq where he managed the channel sales team and helped rebuild HP’s printer channel.
Coming from the printer manufacturing side, Frydberg and Heilig bring with them extensive knowledge of the printers they serve from both the manufacturing and the service side. “I am excited to join the Cartridge World team and look forward to utilizing my experience and knowledge of printing technology to increase Cartridge World’s visibility throughout Israel,” said Heilig.
Cartridge World, which opened its first franchise location in Adelaide, Australia in 1997, is the first retail cartridge refilling concept to take on manufacturing giants such as HP, Lexmark and Canon while offering cost-saving solutions for consumers and businesses on the traditionally inflated costs of printer cartridges.
“With more than 1,400 stores across 36 countries, it is clear that consumers and businesses have an appreciation for alternatives to expensive ink and toner cartridges,” said Burt Yarkin, CEO of Cartridge World North America. “Having grown to 550 stores in three years, the quick success of Cartridge World throughout the United States proves that the company is ready to expand into the Israeli markets.”
Cartridge World refills empty ink and toner cartridges for inkjet printers, laser printers, fax machines and photocopiers with top quality, brand-specific ink and toner and at the same time offers consumers and businesses up to a 50 percent savings, a money back service guarantee and helps the environment by keeping used cartridges out of landfills.
“Cartridge World is an example of a perfect retail model that is able to cross cultures,” Yarkin added. “There are billions of printers and office equipment around the world—all will eventually need replacement ink and toner. We offer entrepreneurs a proven business model that has international brand awareness. For consumers and businesses, Cartridge World offers a safe, less expensive option for their increasing ink and toner needs.”
Cartridge World has recently expanded into the countries of India, China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Caribbean. The company is also seeking Master Franchisees for Japan, Thailand, Southern China, and Taiwan.
